To consider a presentation by One Community which seeks to answer the questions set out in the scoping report agreed by the Leisure and Community Scrutiny Panel. Additional documents:
Minutes: The Chairman welcomed Hayley Hamlett, Fareham One Community Manager and Debra Clothier, One Community Chief Executive, who had been invited by the Panel following a scoping report which had been agreed by Members.
The presentation allowed the Panel to scrutinise the services provided by One Community across the Borough and to provide details how the funds received from Fareham Borough Council as part of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) have been utilized to benefit the Borough’s voluntary and community groups and organisations.
The presentation, which is appended to these Minutes, provided a comprehensive overview of the One Community services. The Panel agreed that the objectives set out in the scoping report had been answered and thanked One Community for an excellent presentation.
The Chairman commented on the outstanding work that has been carried out by volunteers and charities, including One Community, during the Covid-19 pandemic. It has been an incredibly challenging time, but the spirit of Fareham residents has been remarkable.
RESOLVED that the Leisure and Community Scrutiny Panel note the contents of the presentation. |

To consider a report by Y-Services which seeks to answer the questions set out in the scoping report which was agreed by the Panel on the 29 September 2021. Additional documents: Minutes: The Panel received a report by Y-Services providing answers to questions set out in the scoping report agreed by Members at the 29 September 2021 Leisure and Community Scrutiny Panel meeting.
At the agreement of the Chairman Y-Services were not required attend the meeting in person, as they had recently attended a Panel meeting in March 2021. A report, set out as Appendix A was instead prepared by Y-Services for Members of the Panel.
Members asked that it be noted that Y-Services also attend the One Community shop within the Fareham Shopping Centre weekly. This information had not been included within the Y-Services report.
RESOLVED that the Leisure and Community Scrutiny Panel note the contents of the Y-Services report at Appendix A. |
