To consider revisions to the Scheme of Delegation to Individual Members of the Executive.
The Council’s Standing Orders with respect to Meetings allows the Executive Leader to determine the areas of executive responsibility and to discharge Executive functions in accordance with S9E Local Government Act 2000 (SO 31 & 32).
The Executive Leader therefore gives notice that he intends to implement the following revisions from 19 February 2019:
The Scheme of Delegation to Executive Members as attached as Appendix A to be amended to:
i. increase the maximum limit of award of Historic Buildings Grants to £15,000 per grant;
ii. amend the limits of a Tender Acceptance to between £250,001 up to a maximum limit of £500,000 and relevant to the portfolio of the decision maker;
iii. increase the Spending on Emergency Repairs to a maximum limit of £15,000 in agreement with the Section 151 Officer;
iv. increase the maximum limit for the Criminal Damage & Vandalism (Community Safety Initiative) to up to £15,000 on individual initiatives for the prevention and detection of crime and tackling criminal damage and disorder; and
v. increase the maximum limit for Community Fund Applications to up to £15,000 per individual application.
RESOLVED that the Executive Leader approves the amendments to the Scheme of Delegations to Individual Members as set out in Appendix A to the report.
