The Panel were informed of an EPetition that had been started by a resident to retain the name Ferneham Hall in the name of the new venue. The petition was due to close on the 09 October 2020 and Members would be updated accordingly on the outcome of this.

RESOLVED that the Executive agrees:

(a)  that the preferred names for the new Arts and Entertainment Venue of: The Quay Fareham, The Kiln Fareham, The Tannery Fareham and Fareham Live, go forward to a public consultation exercise; and

(b)  that the name “Ferneham” is incorporated into future options for the naming of rooms and areas within the remodelled venue.

At the invitation of the Executive Leader, Councillor R H Price, JP addressed the Executive on this item.
