RESOLVED that the Leisure and Community Scrutiny Panel:-
a) notes the contents of the Executive report at Appendix 1; and
b) passes the following comments to the Executive for consideration at their meeting on the 30 September 2021. Members of the Leisure and Community Scrutiny Panel agreed that: -
i) the Fareham Live project is a key part of the regeneration of Fareham Town Centre and without support would have a detrimental effect on the Council’s Town Centre Vision;
ii) the Panel recognise the importance of the venue for many community organisations, and the need for such a facility to serve the existing and growing population in the Borough;
iii) the risk profile for the project has changed but on balance are minded to support the project at this time; and
iv) Officers and Members of the Ferneham Hall Working Group be thanked for their work to move the project forward, particularly during these challenging times.
