This report presents an application for funding under the Council's Community Fund Programme.
Liz Dunning, Fareham Division Administrator for the Girl Guides has requested funding of £4,999 to help purchase a Compton garage.
The Fareham Division of the Girl Guides, which includes 7 Guides Units and 14 Brownie Units, has been given some land in Serpentine Road on which they wish to place a garage to store camping equipment. The current store is leaking and in a state of very poor repair.
The total cost of the project is £5,582. The remainder of the funds will be supplied by the Guides; they will also be using their own funds to purchase new shelving. Volunteers will move all the equipment from the old store to the new area
Councillor Steadman, as Chairman of Fareham Town CAT, and Councillor Trott are supportive of the above application and Councillor Whittle failed to respond.
That the application for £4,999 from Fareham Borough Council's Community Funding Programme, submitted by Liz Dunning, Girl Guides, Fareham Division for the purchase of a Compton garage be approved.
