This report presents an application for funding under the Council's Community Fund Programme.
Local resident, Shirley Broughton of Martin Avenue, Stubbington has requested funding of £50 for the purchase of 2 'No Cold Calling’ Signs.
The resident explains this will deter cold calling and give other residents contact numbers and procedures for how to deal with cold callers and will help protect vulnerable residents. The signs will also make potential cold callers aware that the road is a No Cold Calling Zone before they enter to conduct their business.
Councillor Mandry, Councillor Mrs Mandry and Councillor Forrest are in full support of this bid.
That the application for £50 from Fareham Borough Council's Community Funding Programme, submitted by local resident, Shirley Broughton of Martin Avenue for the purchase of 'No Cold Calling’ Signs be approved.
