This report presents an application for funding under the Council's Community Fund Programme.
Mr Lee Dorey, from Crofton Saints Youth Football Club has requested funding of £3,799.63 to purchase sports equipment and kit for the club.
The club is based in Stubbington and caters for people ranging from under 6 through to adults. The club has over 30 teams and approximately 400 players.
The funding will support a number of teams and help with the development of the veterans' team, which will allow older players and managers to maintain their fitness and enthusiasm for football and ensure skills are passed onto younger players.
The wet weather has led to many cancelled games and also caused the part cancellation of the club's 2012 tournament which; these are a vital source of funding for the club.
Councillor Mandry, Councillor Mrs Mandry and Councillor Knight were happy to support a bid from the club. However Councillors Mandry and Knight queried whether funding should be provided for rain jackets. Councillor Forrest did not comment on this bid for funding.
That the application for £3,799.63 from Fareham Borough Council's Community Funding Programme, submitted by the Mr Dorey for Crofton Saints Youth Football Club for the purchase of equipment and kit be approved.
