This report seeks approval for the Executive Member for Planning and Development to attend ‘The Future of Housing Supply 2017’ Conference taking place at the Congress Centre, London on 30 March 2017.
In 2017 the government has already announced 30 new local authority partnerships to develop brownfield sites for Starter Homes and has set out plans for the development of 14 new garden villages and 3 garden towns with the capacity to create 200,000 new homes.
In total the government has unlocked £7 billion for affordable housing delivery, including £1.4 billion of funding for 40,000 new affordable homes announced in the 2016 Autumn Statement and the Home and Communities Agency’s £4.6 billion Shared Ownership and Affordable Homes Grant Programme.
With this in mind, Inside Government is bringing together heads of planning and strategy from across the housing sector and local government to, ‘The Future of Housing Supply 2017’, and interactive strategy forum.
That approval is given for the Executive Member for Planning and Development to attend ‘The Future of Housing Supply 2017’ Conference taking place on 30 March 2017 at the Congress Centre, London.
