This report presents an application for funding under the Council's Community Fund Programme.
An application for funding of £2,562.44 has been received from Kevin Fowler, the Treasurer of Fareham Tchoukball Club to purchase equipment and kits to start up a new club at Neville Lovett School.
The club have been instrumental in the revival of Tchoukball within the region, and in particular in schools and Portsmouth University. The club currently has over 20 members ranging from 16 years to 52 years of age, the majority of whom are from the Fareham area.
The new club will play in the Southern Region Tchoukball League, and are looking at entering the National League for the 2013 season. The club would also like to create a youth team to compete in the Southern Region. The new equipment will create new sporting opportunities for all ages in the community.
Councillor Steadman, the Community Action Team Chairman supports the bid. Councillor Howard also supports the bid.
