To provide members with a summary of the Covid Business Grants administered in the Borough in response to the pandemic.
In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Government introduced a number of fully funded schemes to support local businesses. These were administered by the local Council.
In total the Council administered 11 mandatory schemes and 24 discretionary schemes which distributed over £35 million of funds via 7,000 individual grant payments. In addition, over £28 million has been awarded in the form of Business rates relief.
RESOLVED that the Executive notes the content of the report and records its thanks to all Officers involved in the distribution of the grants.
